Spider-Man stands alone, caught in the crosshairs as allies, enemies, and unseen threats close in from every side. The composition draws inspiration from the Punisher’s debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #129, using the crosshairs as both a visual nod and a symbol of the target on Peter’s back. This piece is about pressure. Every face surrounding him represents the weight he carries: the people he’s trying to protect, the enemies hunting him, and the forces he can’t yet see.

The original Spider-Man No More! told the story of Peter choosing to walk away from Spider-Man. This version flips that idea. Here, Peter isn’t leaving the mask behind, but being consumed by it. Wrapped in a web cocoon and overtaken by mutation, Peter fades into the background while Spider-Man moves forward. The piece reflects one of the biggest questions surrounding Brand New Day: if Peter Parker disappears, who, or what, is left beneath the mask?

Notes from the Artist
Spider-Man swings through the city carrying fresh flowers meant for May. Mid-swing, he tosses the bouquet into the air, taking a moment to salute the people below before catching it again and moving forward. I felt this gesture reflects the true heart of Spider-Man. Even while carrying grief, he still makes time to show up for others. Inspired by May’s defining words in the MCU, this piece explores the idea that loss does not end purpose, but deepens it.
